Diane was a wonderful hostess. She received us with joy, and let us felt welcome. She explained about the local distillery, and gave a tip to try the tomintoul 16yo, which I’ve tried in the local pub (next door to argyle). In breakfast her husband cooked us a full Scottish breakfast and eggs royale, both wonderful, and offered us some yogurt, marmalade, and mix of berries. The bed is very comfortable and warm.- Gustavo E
Having followed Argyle Guest House on Facebook for some time, I was itching to go and see it for myself. Well, I am so glad I did. The unique charm of staying in a period property, where every room has been lovingly and individually created by the owners, is worth much more than the very competitive price they charged. The experience was enhanced by the warmest of welcomes from our fabulous hosts, Dianne and Steve. Nothing was a bother to them. The generous and perfectly cooked breakfasts really set us up for the day and the porridge truly was the best ever. Steve even showed us his spurtle (and you don't often get that for free!). It was the perfect getaway, relaxing in old world charm with all mod cons, great hosts, and plenty of canine companions. Definitely worth another visit.- Mairi-Louise Houldsworth
